Doctor Shrimp
Protocols
Field-tested protocols for every stage of shrimp production. Each protocol is written for practical use on real farms — not as a reference document, but as a step-by-step guide you can follow during preparation, grow-out, and problem response.

Standard Pond Preparation
Earthen pond prep for White Shrimp and Tiger Shrimp. Acre and hectare dosages included. MinGro vs MinGroX selection explained.
Disease-Specific Pond Preparation
EHP, EMS, and viral outbreak protocols. Separate pages by pond type and pathogen. Disinfection intensity differs significantly across each.
Water and Phytoplankton Preparation
Phytoplankton bloom establishment before stocking. Applied when Secchi disk reads below 50 cm.
Mineral Management
MinGro+, MinGroX, and ShellGro dosage schedules by species and stocking density. Pre-stocking through harvest.
Full-Cycle Product Application
Product schedules from pond prep through harvest. Separate protocols for earthen, plastic-lined and concrete, and intensive partial-harvest systems.
Troubleshooting and Problem Management
Rainy season, phytoplankton crash, BGA overbloom, and high organic load. Corrective schedules for active grow-out.

These protocol areas have been identified as priorities. Content is currently being developed and reviewed by our team.
Water Quality Monitoring
Routine monitoring schedules and action thresholds for grow-out ponds. Parameters are referenced within existing protocols but no standalone monitoring schedule is available.
Feeding Management
A feeding management protocol covering daily feed rates, feed tray checks, and adjustment criteria is not yet available.
Stocking Protocol
No protocol for PL procurement, quality assessment, transport, or acclimation. PL age and Artemia at stocking are referenced within existing protocols but no comprehensive stocking checklist exists.
Aeration Management
Aeration is referenced throughout the protocols (paddlewheel on, additional aerators in heavy rain) but no standalone protocol for aerator placement or capacity calculations exists.
Harvest Protocol
No protocol for harvest procedures, equipment, size grading, or post-harvest handling.
Biosecurity Protocol
No protocol for farm entry and exit procedures, visitor management, or equipment disinfection between ponds.
Water Source and Intake Treatment
Water disinfection is mentioned as a step within pond prep protocols but no standalone incoming water management protocol exists.
Emergency Acute Mortality Response
Existing troubleshooting protocols cover water quality problems but do not address acute mass mortality events or emergency sampling procedures.
Record-Keeping Templates
No standardised data recording templates for daily observations, feed records, water quality logs, or harvest data.
Super-Intensive and Biofloc Systems
High-density plastic-lined systems are covered in the intensive culture protocol but biofloc-specific management including floc volume and C/N ratio is not addressed as a distinct system.
